Who has the pictures of the of us with State Troopers in Elsworth Maine?
Got em home on my PC, will forward them when I get back.
I'd like em too. Unfortunately, I don't think I got in the pic.
Maybe we should open up a Google Drive or similar and upload everything there? Share the username and password amongst ourselves?
I'm sure we all have something of interest to others
Sounds good. Anyone who wants to share pictures pm me your email and I will send you a link to my google drive.
Already have Fortech, VersysRob, Pizzaman and Scooter added.
I'll get them up ASAP, currently waiting for PAL at YDF enroute to YYR Lol
Just uploaded a bunch of pictures and a few movies to the drive. Murph, do you have an email address so I can send you a link?
Not knowing what a "drive" is except a ride in a box it will have to come with step by step instructions to access it.
And an IT professional to make repairs once you do have access...
I just uploaded 230-ish images to the Share Drive.
Anyone know of a good file sharing site to use now that Photobucket has f'ked everyone over?
I'm using flickr on the yahoo site. It's free and it works well....once you know the ropes. Here's my Lighthouse Challenge
While this site will allow uploads, I don't do that often because of my concern about using up server space. (Maybe it isn't an issue...?)
Flickr - There are a few tricks to get it to work - PM me if you want details (I have a simple tutorial done up in an email format.) I like the fact that you can edit the image size on the fly.
Imgur - Used it a few times without any problems
Postimage.org - Pretty easy to use
Google Photos - Some tricks needed - images sometimes seem to come and go...
I don't consider any of these to be a permanent solution since any or all might follow in Photofuckets footsteps. They work for now...
If I had a lot of time (and content) tied up in ride reports or a blog of some sort, I would probably go to a reputable pay site such as Smugmug. (Don't need it right now.)
Note: If you are trying to read an old post with Photobucket-ransomed images, you can still view it using Chrome with an add-on extension that makes the blocked images appear (assuming the author didn't delete them).
I have over 12000 pics and a couple of videos up on SmugMug, it has been a solid platform for me for over 10 years. Any of you can go have a look except for the unlisted or password protected galleries I have up.
