NL M/C License Plates; options?

A few questions to ask of The Collective regarding NL M/C license plates. Long story short, my plate was (severely) mangled when I was rear-ended by a l'il old lady back in August, so don't think I would like to strap that back on my Scoot when she eventually gets repaired (parts are taking BRUTALLY LONG to arrive unfortunately). So, am wondering about options for replacement, now that the Gubmint is no longer issuing yearly registration stickers.

Can I just bring my mangled plate to MVR and be issued a replacement along with a new registration slip?

Or, can I just print a new one up with my original plate number (which The Fuzz would run thru their system anyway, where I to be pulled in for something)?

What are the dimensions for the current NL M/C plate?
