LED Fluorescent Tube Swap

After 10 years the fluorescent tubes in my garage are starting to die and so I'm looking to start replacing them with the new LED ones. Have 16 bulbs in total so will only be swapping them as they go. When it comes to anything electrical I'm clueless and now looking at lightbulbs has become somewhat of an intimidating experience, way too many choices. I almost feel I need to go back to university and do a electrical engineering degree to understand half of it. o_O

Anyone here done the swap over?

Few questions I have:
- do I have to do anything to the existing lights like remove the ballast or anything for the swap? Some I've seen online have this note: "An electronic instant start ballast is required for use" OR "this lamp only operates on electronic ballasts"
- my lights are all T8, do I need to know the current wattage of them to know which replacements to buy? I ask because I see different LED bulbs say 32W, 45, 16W, etc. equivalent
- I'm assuming you'd need to swap over both lights in the fixture at the same time?
- Anything else I need to know?
