Phase One: I said goodbye to my faithful 2016 R1200GS today with 35,350 miles on the odometer.
Ironically, the guy who bought it turned out to be another Snowbird who lives in Minnesota.
I was a little apprehensive that it would sell quickly, given that there were 44 other GS’ of similar vintage listed on Cycle Trader.
I actually sold it in five days, and for my asking price. It didn’t hurt that another person inquired about it as I was showing it.
I’m probably nuts for having sold it, as it was basically flawless during the 40 months that I owned it.
Now the wait begins while they prep my purchase in Nashville, Tennessee...
