We are heading to the "Rock" this year for a rally in Deer Lake. I know the shortest ride to the island for Nova Scotia is the North Sydney to Port aux Basques. That is the one I'm planning to go there on. Once we are on the island we want to ride as much as the west as possible, working our way east.
If after we have a: run out of money OR b: run out of time: should we ride back across via the transcanada highway and take the Port aux Basques ferry or take the Argentia ferry back to the main land ?
Does the higher cost and time on the Argentia ferry equal too or greater than riding back across to Port aux Basques ferry?
The Rally is August 15-17 . Can get to island part of the week before and need to get back home sometime near or after Labour day weekend. Been to St Johns so not planning of going that far east. We did have friends that live near Marystown that we were going to visit but they have a wedding to go to in Alberta so they won't be home.
