I have finally found the source of a weird noise on my Varadero. It was an intermittent noise that was driving me nuts...sounded like maybe a bad wheel bearing, or maybe a bad chain/sprockets, or bad speedo cable (even though it does not have a cable). And it couldn't be a wheel bearing as the noise was very intermittent....for example over my two week holidays I never heard it once. This morning on my commute to work, I heard the noise again! When commuting to/from work, I remove my SPOT tracker and GPS and leave at home....and then I saw the culprit! Believe it or not, but it is a little tiny roller on the Ram Mount for my Spot Tracker. As I'm riding without the spot tracker, this little wheel rotates and actually makes a very noticeable noise! So glad to have found the noise.
