What to do at The "Ride Dildo" event?

he he he he :)

I have a few suggestions which aren't even dirty! ;) if you have some more suggestions tack them on to the end of the list! I'm giving suggestions here not direction just to be clear.

1. Ride to Fogo and around and back (day trip): I'm doing this regardless. it's just a matter of the date. Ferry leaves Farewell to Fogo island direct at 9 am and returns direct at 6:30 pm. Google has the trip between Farewell and Dildo run at 56 minutes. The direct ferry ride is ~45 minutes. This means on the bike at 745 am (to ensure a spot on the ferry) and back a little after 8pm. That's a long day so I have it in my mind to do it before the weekend. If anyone wants to do this on the Thursday or Friday then LMK.

2. A leisurely Saturday ride for photos and scenery. This should be done in time to get back for dinner whatever that is going to be (see point 4). I've taken the liberty of linking a google map of a 3-4 hours of road riding. There is a lot of out and back but there isn't any way to get around it. The southern half could be dropped if needed. The parts north of Dildo run are really spectacular. I wouldn't miss Salt Harbour Island and Too Long Arm whatever the weather.

3. Lectures: no really! Anyone care to show me how to actually field change a tire without breaking a sweat, killing 2 hours and cursing a blue streak? Got some experience in first aid or treating road rash? Share your TLH story and give advice for those considering it? Really any topic that someone would care to share that might be useful step right up! Don't expect me to give advice though....I don't even take my own!

4. Saturday Dinner: I'm going to state the obvious. A lobster boil up sounds like a roaring great time. It also sounds like a lot of work. Scooter has valiantly volunteered to bring all the equipment but thats half of it. The rest is picking up some 2 dozen live lobster, packing it onto a motorcycle and bringing it back to the park, then think garlic, butter, salt pepper and on and on. And frankly I don't want to ruin Scooters weekend by forcing him to drive a cage cuz that's what will happen. Forget it. Lets all ride to Sansomes and eat our fill, then head back to a roaring campfire and some cold ones.
