Guess I can post odd quetions here!!! I need advise.
I am looking for my septic tank at the cabin. I have dug several holes in the area where I think it is but can not find it. Sewage pipe exits basement and I can push a solid rod out 13 feet. I have no idea how deep it is or if it is metal. No one in my cabin area can remember who installed it or where. Anywho, I think it is causing my system to back up and I want to find it, open it and see how full it is. I am hoping it is metal, or has a metal door or hinge of some kind. I firgue instead of making my driveway look like a pararie dog meadow, I would look for a metal detector. Anyone here know where I can rent one or borrow one? I am in CBS area, cabin is off Hodgewater line.
I can push a garden hose into the sewer line in basement, and had it running for 5 mins with no backup. Problem is when I flush the toilet it bubbles, and does not flush. I have replaced the toilet. I also put the garden hose into the base where toilet attaches to floor while toilet was off and turned on the hose and it ran free and clear. I used septic booster enzyme regurally. Any idea what is up? I am at a loss.
