Since May, I have been calling places in St. John's to get a replacement axle installed for my trailer. My first place of contact was Atlantic Trailer & Equipment which is where I bought my trailer. It is like pulling teeth! From May until til now and still no quote!
Mobile Trailer Repair after several attempts I did get a quote for the axle, but silence on a quote for install.
Hiscock's and one other place has yet to return my phone call.
And the worst is Ashford's. I called on Monday and did get a quote for parts and install and did make a tentative appointment for next Monday. However I have called three times to confirm my appointment for Monday, I have left messages and no one has returned my call! Absolutely brutal.
A few years ago I bought a used tire from a RTR member. I went to Honda One to have it installed, and they simply would not install because I never bought the tire from them! Even though my Honda was sold from the exact showroom! They actually turned away a paying customer.
I tried another dealer, and they were booked weeks in advance. Yet a 'come from away traveler' gets service the same day they show up!
I could continue with stories, but I won't. Basically, if shops want us to support them, they have to start supporting us!
