A couple of beautiful mornings in a row for a ride in to work including a scoot through Outer Cove-Middle Cove with a view of whales in the bay. There's quite a bit of brown sand on the bridge and its approaches... a little worse going from Outer Cove to Middle Cove due to the sight lines. Reduce speed and/or choose your line carefully. Oblivious looky-loos are often parked at the end of the bridge watching for whales also. Way to ruin a couple of the best curves on the Avalon.

Same on the long corner in New Chelsea, pretty much always gravel on the road from the trucks

There doesn’t seem to be the effort put into cleaning the roads anymore. In both CBS and Holyrood it is almost comical. There are areas in both towns where the centre line was painted right over the left over winter sand.

I landed on my ass once this year because of sand. Though really it was my lack of good judgement because I knew it was there and the maneuver I was attempting was a recipe for stupid.
But I also tend to run the stretch of road Tonis speaks of a little hot to enjoy the turns a little more and have not been down that way this year. Good intel is always welcomed.
