Ok....so I think the salty roads are completely washed in St. John’s right now.
Good for you guys. Ours aren't. I don't expect we will see the ground until April. Two to three weeks earlier than normal for this region.
I think 75mm of rain fell as of midnight. Still windy and wet.
I didn’t think it was possible either, but we also got a load of rain yesterday, washing the roads nicely.
The only problem was, the rain turned back to snow on the back side of the system, and we are back to brine and salt.
And the current temperature is 16 degrees F.
there's salt out our way because the road was covered in snow! Saw my first of the season yesterday.
Wow. We are getting some rain tonight and tomorrow and while it may rinse the roads off a bit, they will rapidly re-freeze and be re-salted.
No riding window in between.
I left one bike and the scooter out hoping I can still ride when I get back from work in 3 weeks.
The totals are in! St. John’s received 93mm of rain!
