Just a little pictorial history of the bikes I have enjoyed so far. In order of ownership from first to current.

1984 Suzuki GS550E, not my photo, trolled from the interwebs. Looks identical except mine had a sweet stainless 4-1 Supertrapp on it. Bought it in used 1988 when I worked at Honda One. I put about 50,000km on that one.

1995 Kawasaki KLX650C. Bought new in NB. Think I put about 12,000km on this one. Notice the 1995 model Nolan ADV helmet.

1998 Kawasaki ZX7RR. Bought new. Pic from interwebs. Similar to mine but just single R model. Didn’t take long to realize it wasn’t for me, got rid of it at 1,500km.

1998 Suzuki Bandit 1200. Bought new. Replaced the ZX7RR. Much more my style. One of my favourite bikes. Can’t remember if I put 25,000 or 30,000km on this one.

2007 Kawasaki Versys 650. Bought new from QC and had it shipped in its crate to NL. This one slips my mind but I think 12,000 or 15,000km when I sold it.

2009 Suzuki DR650. Put about 8,000km on it. Bought new. Should have kept this one.

2011 Yamaha Fazer-8. Put about 20,000km on it. Bought new, think it was the first one sold in NL. Really loved the colour.

2009 Yamaha WR250X. Bought used in 2012 with only 900km on it. Put another 6,500km on it. Had a lot of fun with this one too. Should have kept it.

2014 Suzuki V-Strom 1000. Put about 14,000km on it. Bought new. Sitting next to my brother’s bike. They need to make a street fighter with this motor.

2016 Yamaha FJ-09. Bought new. Put almost 20,000km on it. Alas, my days of riding tall bikes is coming to an end. Traded it in on the MT-09.

2016 Honda CB500F. Bought used for a song. Short lived, bought to share with my son and wife, didn’t work out. Put about 2,500km on it.

2018 Yamaha MT-09. Bought new. Need to get the throttle remapped, can’t seem to keep the front end down. Currently in the garage.

2018 Yamaha XT250. Had a grand total if 136km on it when I traded the CB500F for it. Turns out my wife likes to ride it! Currently in the garage.

Anyone else want to post a pictorial history of their rides? Love to see your bikes!

Hmmm...I could scan the only shot of my old Yamaha Vision, I have no idea if I have a shot of my 750 Interceptor. O5er than that all I’ve owned are the 5 I have now.

    In order of ownership...

1985 Honda Shadow 750 (Pic from Internet but nearly identical right down to the engine/highway bars. My high school and first year of university ride. Sold to finance my first car)

2006 Honda CBR 600RR (Bought from a friend who was the original owner ~ 12,000 kms on the odo. Kept it for a few years and enjoyed it. Had the KLR 650 at the same time so this would be my "out for a rip" bike.)

2004 Kawasaki KLR 650 (Bought from a chap in Massey Drive with ~3200 kms on the odo. Really enjoyed this one despite the primitive offerings)

2008 Honda Varadero (Bought in New Glasgow NS with 1586 kms on the odo. 2 yrs old and paid less than 50% of what the original owner did.)

    S10 - Cape Race.jpg
2012 Yamaha Super Tenere - Current Ride (Bought new in Antigonish NS)

Let's see... 1953 BSA Goldflash 650 (wrote if off during a rear tire blow out), 1966 Honda 305 Superhawk (blew up tranny), 1968 BSA 500 Royal Star (blew motor at 11,000 miles on the way back from Stephenville), 1969 BSA 650 Firebird Scrambler (blew motor at 4000 miles on way to Leading Tickles... con rod bent the frame),
Tried to quit cold turkey between 197o and 2005 with only a little XR185 for a while in the mid 1970's, otherwise lived a bike free life, almost. Still kept having the odd relapse on bikes borrowed from my brother... let's say he was an 'enabler'.
Finally broke down in 2005 and bought a 1985 Kwai 1100 LTD, maintained a 1985 Honda Shadow 500 for my wife, 2006 Triumph 1050 ST, maintained a 2006 Harley 1200 for my wife, 2007 Honda 1800 Goldwing, maintained a 2007 Ducati Monster for my wife. Wife didn't want me to ride her bikes much. She gave up riding in 2012 due to carpal tunnel surgeries but remains a meticulous back seat rider, monitors my daily carries and gets me to safe injection sites when the DT's kick in.
In 2012 bought a spanker Harley FLHTCU (wrote it off on a cross Canada ride), 2007 BMW K1200GT, 2006 Honda 1300ST, 2010 BMW K1300R.
    Currently own a 2010 K1300GT and a 2012 R1200GS Rallye.
I'd take any of these bikes again in a heartbeat but would need to tweak the K1300R's ergos a tad as it was a little too cramped for me. Fave bike was the BSA 500 Royal Star because it lasted the longest and gave me the most memories of "the 60's".
