Over the weekend I had the chance to ride a KTM Freeride.
I have to say it was one of the best balanced bikes I have ever ridden off road. I took it through the woods where there was very little trail (basic walking path) and it was awesome. Had it in a gravel pit that was mostly sand as well and it handled great. On a hard packed dirt road getting it to 60+ kph was also not a problem. Lightweight and lots of power from the two stroke engine. Best thing it was electric start as well.
Would definitely consider one if I liked bikes anymore......hahahaha
If you get the chance make sure to try one.
