Did a little scoot to BC a few weeks ago, goal being to visit Gibbons, where the beachcombers was filmed. I used revel stoke as my midway point, so it went Edmonton, Revelstoke, Gibbons, Revelstoke, and back to Edmonton.

i ended up with a few "keepers" from this ride, so the following of which is just a sampling. I had my Olympus OMD EM1 along with the 12-40 f2.8 pro lens, and what turned out to be an ideal new lens for from the seat shots, a Rokenon 7.5 mm fully manual fish eye lens. As usual i will let the pics to the talking, and comment where needed.

First shot with the fish eye on the OMD. basically i lock the throttle, reach in the tank bag and switch on the camera, haul it out, fire off a few shots, and return it to the tank bag, all in a few seconds. The lens is pre-set how i want it, being manual there is no focus lag, and its so wide that there is no aiming or taking your eyes off the road.

The trucker ahead of me is an asshole who had no right to try and pass the truck on the right. He literally inched pass the other guy, and used the entire passing lane to do it.

Interior of BC is not unlike Utah or Nevada.

It does get green again though fairly quickly. Some random spot along the Fraser river.

I timed it perfectly to hit Vancouver in evening rush hour traffic. After getting through that nightmare i arrived at the ferry terminal. Its a 40 min ferry ride to get close to Gibson's.

Once off the ferry, its just a few km to Gibson's.

The Persephone was donated to the town a few years after the show ended on the condition that it be restored and displayed, never to be in the water again. Its just a few feet up the road from Molly's Reach.

Speaking of which, the building used for Molly's reach has been turned into a real restaurant, so its off for some fish and chips.

The next day. Had to get at least one shot of the bike in front of the Persephone. Its to bad they did not have relic's Jet boat restored and on display as well.

Once back on the mainland, i took the sea to sky highway route, which was great, and continued on along BC99 to some spectactular riding.
