Due to a recent life change all the bikes are on the chopping block. Just keeping one of them. It's looking like I may be headed back to Ontario in the next couple months. If the bikes don't sell by then they will have to go into storage.

This is a long read sorry but I don't want anything not to be covered
Love the Vstrom 1000. I got this bike last winter cheap but it had a real bad tick. The guy I got it from was the original owner and he bought another brand new 2014 Vstrom 1000. 80,000km the front cam chain guide broke so he replaced the chain and guide, and at around 140,000km the rear cam chain guide broke so he did the same. He did the valves while he was in there. Turns out he musta been in a rush when he did the valves because the tick was the rear intake valves. Did another valve job and it worked out perfect! It now has 149,000km on it. It has a new set of tires on it less than 500km, wheel bearings just done, coolant flushed, valves were done in the spring, throttle bodies were synched in the spring, TPS was adjusted summer, chain and sprockets are good, comes with two seats, stock height and lower seat, Givi crash guards, steering bearings are good, two windscreens tall one and stock one, heated grips, digital voltage meter. Stator and voltage regulator changed at 90,000km. I'll also include a rear rack with a top box. The top box was broken when I had my KLR but I re-glued it and it's been fine the last 10,000km

The bad.

If you do some research you will hear alot about "clutch chudder" on the DL1000. The clutch baskets aren't built to the tightest tolerance so they tend to vibrate around 3000-4000rpm. Both bikes I have here do it, the one with 149,000km is a bit more noticeable than the newer one with only 24,000km but it still does it. It will never leave you stranded and there are plenty of known Vstroms on Stromtrooper message board with over 200,000 miles on them and there's one with over 300,000 miles and he still had the stock clutch basket before finally getting the mod done. For me I just ride around 4000rpm and it never bothers me. There is a fix. A guy in the states rebuilds the basket for around the $200 mark not including shipping. The result is you can lug the bike all day at 3000rpm and no strange vibration. Also the rotors are at the thinner side of spec. The are perfectly true and the braking is super smooth but the rotors are getting thin. If I keep the bike I had planned on picking up a used set at some point but the ones on it are good just at the service limit. I painted the exhaust covers black and the rear rack black. Paint hasn't chipped off or flaked off yet and looks great. And you may also hear of some people having loose flywheel rotor magnets Stroms. That's the main reason I installed the digital voltage meter so I could keep an eye on it. I took the cover off and all the magnets were fine but just as a precautionary measure I put a bit of JB weld between all the magnets so there's no chance in coming loose and sliding together. They haven't come loose in 149,000km so I don't think they will every come loose but you never know.

I'd like to get as close to $1600 as possible I really believe that's a fair price. I was gonna list it at $2200 but don't really have alot of time.
