Re; the recent discussion on tyre availability, The dealer contacted me yesterday to say that my rear Motoz Tractionator should be here at the end of the month. This will compliment the front that I have. In days gone by, I had a guy close by who did a free ride in/ride out service for tyre changes when you bought tyres from him. He had all the nice front/rear lifts, frame lifts etc and the job usually took around an hour....all very convenient. However, an equal combination of necessity and desire means that I want to do the job myself.

The T7 doesn't have a centre stand, and I don't yet have stands, bike lift etc. Rear swingarm stands are easy and cheap enough to find, but the front headstock lifts are usually too short to get the front raised on an ADV bike (I am prepared to be corrected on this). I am looking at a basic hydraulic Moto lift from Canadian tyre. The T7 has a stout bashplate, so I am considering jacking the bike up underneath that and raising both wheels at the same time for removal. I would throw a strap over the bike as well for extra stability.

I am interested to know how anyone else has lifted both ends at once without a centre stand?
