Roadside camping... at your own risk and liability

If someone wanted to set up a small motorcycle trailer rig or tent beside a road, brook, pond etc., and were prepared to assume their own risks and liabilities of course, would that be a problem in Newfoundland? Provided it was on Crown Land not on private land, 50 meters or a safe distance from water or a highway, not within a municipal boundary/watershed or not in a Provincial or National Park of course.
TIA for any links to relevant legislation or regulations in that regard.
