2011 BMW F650GS... (2017 BMW F700GS)

It is a terrible time to be looking at used motorcycles. Prices are way up and inventory is way down. I haven't, however, given up the thought of getting a dual sport bike but perhaps not this season.
I had given up on the notion entirely until I encountered a well-farkled 2011 F650GS at the local Yamaha dealer with 56,000 km on the clock. I didn't speak with the sales critter and only had a chance to have a fairly quick look. I didn't even sit on it. I will likely pass on this but I need to learn a bit more. (They are asking $7999 which seems a bit much for an 11 year-old bike of this genre but I have no idea what it is really worth and if they are the least bit flexible.)

Bike seems clean with no obvious abuse although I have a question that one or more panels were repainted. (Could have been a serious crash or a fussy owner fixing up minor road rash.) Hard side cases and top case. Looks like aftermarket skid plate, center stand, crash bars, windshield, Scottoiler auto chain oiler, tank bag and barkbusters. Tool tube on the rear, inboard of right side case. Not sure what else.
Couple of photos, below.

What does anyone think this might be worth?
Mechanical issues/problems to be aware of for this model? Other reasons to avoid?
Ease of maintenance?
Expected fuel economy and tank range?

I assume 56,000 km isn't a major concern? I'm comfortable with the thought of getting at the very least a couple hundred thousand kilometers out of a Japanese sport tourer but have no idea whether this bike would be "used up" at that point. (Sold my previous FJR with 295,000 km and still running perfectly.)
I still have to have a much closer look at the bike and see if I can get some ownership and maintenance history. This is me starting some homework on the value (and advisability) of the BMW. I have only done in-depth looks at Yamaha (S10 and S7 Ténéré), Honda (Africa Twin), Suzuki V-Strom (both sizes) and Triumph Tiger. Only a passing glance at KTM and discounted the KLR as less than what I wanted.
I need (want) a bike that is capable of dirt road riding, not likely much "off-road" expected but comfortable and capable of all day on the highway getting to where I want to ride.

I appreciate comments and suggestions.

Heading down to Halifax area in a week and a half and plan to see if there is anything in that region...
