What was your first dream bike?

I am thinking we were all at the same bike shows at the Holiday Inn. They were awesome for young dreamers. I too loved the CX Turbos, the Katana and more. RD350LC was one of my dream bikes. Also loved the KZ650, FJ600 and the ultimate in my mind was the GS1100E

    Cougar flight 91 12 March 2009

Hey Chuck, not sure if we will be down this year. Covid and all. Dad is now 86 so not worth the risk at this point. Hopefully things get better soon and we can start making some plans .

    Cougar flight 91 12 March 2009

Hi Chuck, Hope our paths cross again soon. I lost a great friend on that flight. His first trip out. My heart still aches when I think of that day, the days leading up to it and the days after. We were supposed to get together as he had something to talk to me about (I did not know he had taken...

Went for a ride today...never ending hi-jack thread

Ross, pretty much. I have not gotten a ticket since 1999. The torque on this one is going to make it hard to keep that record in tact.

Went for a ride today...never ending hi-jack thread

I have had a new bike sitting in the garage since December. Finally got out for a ride on it Friday. Fun bike for around town, coastal roads and the like. Keeping the F800GS for longer rides. Here are a couple of snaps. 2020RNiteT/5.

    Coronavirus

Just putting this out there, if you are ordering anything at all, or buying anything at all, try to get it from a local supplier. Now is the time they need out support more than ever or they may not be around when all this is over. Bike related or not, the local shops, restaurants, corner...

    Coronavirus

I am hoping this passes fairly quickly, but fear it will not. I know a lot of business already in trouble from Snowmageddon. My business is in trouble for sure. Luckily I have been around for a long time and have been fairly frugal over the years. Also a spouse with a regular cheque helps...

    Dirt-Highway bike...

That was such a great bike. I miss the handling for sure. I agree, great all round bike, but not great on the dirt. That is the main reason I went with the F800GS.

    Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas Everyone. Santa was very good to me. While he took my DRZ which has gotten very little use lately, he left a 2020 RNineT/5 in its place. Is it spring yet?

    Floating Rotors

I agree with HunterSon. I had them on my Versys and thought the rotors were warped. The "buttons" used to get clogged up. I got into the habit of cleaning them with a bit of brake cleaner and then putting a little fine oil on them. I would then wipe off the rotors with brake cleaner in case I...

    Spring 2019

My birthday is the end of March. I always say all I want is to be able to go for a ride. Most years it is close. Sometimes just before, sometimes a week or so later.

    Tire Levy

You have to return them to a dealer or where you bought them. Then they will be sent to be recycled. At least they are supposed to be. Drop them at the dump and that is where they will stay.

Another year has passed and I still smile when I think of our friend Steve and the Soiree that year. Remember him with a laugh.

    BMW Demo Days

Look me up on FB and add me as a friend Doug Murdoch. You nailed the sound of the 750 engine. On start it sounded terrible, under power it sounded good.
