    Trans-Lab July 2023

I get it. A long time in the saddle. What I do, it seems when on a tour. 1000 k + days tend to be the Norm at the start and the end. With lots of dithering in the middle. Spending a day or two chilling waiting for a Ferry is not a big deal as I really don't like to lock my days in to have to be...

    Trans-Lab July 2023

Trouble is I just don't have the time to tour Newfoundland. I would love to but Kathy has dictated a time limit. If I do end up there it would be the Blanc Sablon Ferry I would take. Probably both ways.. Tour the North part. Dammit now I am looking at the maps again!! thought I had this all...

    Getting the itch...

So if I get to ride my rig down to the low tide mark at Fort George I am going to claim I rode into Nunavut. I might just get stickers made to prove it. Case Closed Ha!

    Trans-Lab July 2023

With every thing up in smoke in Northern Quebec, the trans lab is on my Radar. Maybe both it things go well as I trundle across the country. I purposely don't plan but is there any thing I might miss by not planning. Probably be there about the last week of August, first week of September

    GS911 or similar

Hope I gave you a bit of insight into the functions that the GS911 can do. As I explained, a tad limited but gives you the basics. I have worked with a lot of scan Tools over the years so make assumptions. Hope I didn't add more confusion to the mix. As I tried to explain, it would be nice if it...

    GS911 or similar

As a Scan tool user in the Automotive world I have found the GS 911 to be a bit lacking on the diagnostic front. Is that because the builders have to reverse engineer the BMW stuff or is it just that there isn't that much there. That being said it does every thing you need. Clear codes, My 2018...

Yes it makes a difference. My camping kit seems to have gotten a tad bigger since switching to a rig. Put every thing on the scales the other day. We have a thread going about sidecar weights in ADV. Looks like I am going to top 1600 lbs fully loaded. Yikes, that fragile little drive shaft is...

Thank you for the Welcome. I really enjoyed meeting Bob. I have lots of plans to head your way over the next few years. Having time now and way too many places to explore it is hard to par down that list. The Rock is right at the top. As it was almost a given, as I have the passion, these guys...

Yes, the leading link front suspension really improves, steering and handling. Also takes care of the side forces on the front forks that they were never designed to handle. The Double caliper is designed so I can run a rear BMW wheel on all 3 corners. Also a rear tire so there is more rubber...

It was great to meet up with Bob today. Gave me some great perspective on the Island which made my desire to get over and visit your part of the country even stronger. Pretty sure the side car delay factor will be strong there. Bob got it mostly right as I tend to get excited and blather on...
