    I got nailed

Looks reasonable. At $3.00, the price isn't a major consideration. The set of tires cost $400+ and I'm putting in up to $65 a day in gas for a long trip. At that price, it is worth picking up a few tubes to have on hand (or to order the package of 5 from Amazon). Thanks

    I got nailed

I have seen some packages of small tubes on Amazon, eBay and elsewhere. Example below - some were cheaper. https://www.amazon.ca/TableRe-Adhesive-Cement-Rubber-Bicycle/dp/B07T5CFD7W/ref=sr_1_12?dchild=1&keywords=rubber+cement&qid=1621296129&sr=8-12 This is made for bicycle tube patches but...

    I got nailed

I probably average one MC flat tire every two years. I could buy a package, use what I need for the rest of my riding years and bequeath the remainder to my grandchildren. Do you use these dry or with glue (and did you get rubber cement as well)? I usually use them with the rubber cement that...

    Coronavirus

May 16: NL - 9 new cases - 2 Eastern region (travel related) - 3 Central region (travel related) - 4 Western region (travel related) Frustrating but there isn't much you can do unless you restrict rotational workers. I wonder how many are vaccinated? As long as people are compliant, it...

Went for a ride today...never ending hi-jack thread

Interesting comments on the T7... Could be a matter of getting the suspension dialed in as well. Even tire pressure. (Shaky bars) The T7 claims 72 HP which is a good bit more than a 640... Not much history on the T7 (at least in North America) but mechanical reliability and longevity are...

    Weather!!

I have done down to 6°C but it wasn't fun. No hypothermia but welcomed the sun the next morning.

    Weather!!

Not a bad idea. For an extended trip, probably better to have a light bag and a liner rather than a heavier one. Easy to be too warm in a cold weather sleeping bag. Using it alone in really warm weather is a great idea as well. (on top of regular bag, in case it gets cold during the night)...

Sound seemed OK to me... Looks like it was a great day for a ride. I have found the guys at Shore Cycle are good to talk to - surprised they are open. Did you like the T7?

    Weather!!

I'm OK up to 30°C or so before I start hating it but I would call low to mid twenties ideal. Anything below 10° calls for heated riding gear if for more than an hour or so. Camping gear that I currently have isn't great below 10° for an overnight low. Need a better bag.

    Coronavirus

May 15: NB - 7 new cases (but two are out-of-province) - 2 in Saint John (1 travel-related, 1 close contact) - 4 Fredericton (3 close contact, 1 out-of-province) - 1 Bathurst (out-of-province) Two of the Fredericton cases are under 19 years so likely related to the local school outbreak...

    Weather!!

Fredericton NB forecast low to mid 20's for the next six days. Showers on a couple of those days. Some riding and (unfortunately) some yard work. Need to put another layer of stain on the horizontal surfaces of the deck I built last year but that will likely have to wait until late June after...

    My motorcycle addiction.....

I would hardly say "little changed from its original design". Air cooled vs water cooled, chain drive vs shaft. Side cases, windshield, ABS, 4 carbs vs FI, steel frame vs aluminum frame. (FJ1200 vs FJR1300) They share some ancestry for sure but very different motorcycles. However, a classic...

    Coronavirus

Yep Nova Scotia went into "lockdown" at the end of April. Peaked at 227 cases on May 7 (mostly in Halifax Regional Municipality) and down to 110 today. I expect the entire province (or at least the central zone) will be under severe restrictions until they get back to single digits in terms of...

    Coronavirus

And the fact that community spread hasn't been found outside the central zone. Depends on compliance with restrictions but I think there will be major improvement over the next few days.

    Coronavirus

You're right, of course. Likely too soon to to see much in the way of results (although the province started offering extra testing two days ago). Western Health - Link Tomorrow and through the weekend are more likely to show positive cases (if there are a bunch). Just hoping they got to the...
