    Signals

As we all know there are any number of signals motorcyclists use with each other. I passed a gaggle of riders in CBS today and a number of them gave me the fist on top of the head signal. That one was new for me and I was guessing "cops". Someone please educate me.

    2011 BMW F650GS... (2017 BMW F700GS)

As I recall I have a Supersprox on my 640, if I remember correctly the rear has a lifetime warranty. You might want to do a little research on whether or not people use the OEM or aftermarket countershaft sprockets. Buy a top of the line chain. Does your bike have a centre stand? Males life much...

Did you get the owners manual with the bike? Wouldn't that have valve specs too? I was happy I had the original manual with my R65 even though I also have a Haynes manual.

I like the GL's for the daisy chains on them making them very easy to strap onto the bike.

    2011 BMW F650GS... (2017 BMW F700GS)

I want a few ambient temp gauges for my bikes but haven't come across any recently. The only other thing I tend to use is my odo's to track mileage so I know when I'm going to run out of gas. I do find the clock on my 1100 handy and find myself looking for one on my R65 only to be disappointed...

When they do the hazardous waste collection near us once a year I can bring mine there too.

No doubt getting more familiar with all it has to offer will get you to a more comfortable place to be on it. Makes me think that's a benefit of bikes with zero electronic aids. What you see is what you get.

I think GL says for carrying fuel but not for storage. I have a 1 gallon of their first generation and it works a treat. Personally I don't care if it's "legal" or not as long as it works. Who do you think is going to pull you over for a gas bag?

    Waste Oil

I have at least 5 litres to go here in town. I have a garage in Winterton who burns my oil at home.

You could always carry a gas bag, or just enjoy more frequent stops?

I hit reserve on the R65 on the way to work yesterday. I was stoked to get 280 km's out of a tank.
