Fyi.. it took us 1.5hrs from leaving pavement on Goose Arm in DL to get to the sink hole.

    The T'Railway

I wasn't trying to break any rules, and I know very little about the area. Here's a pic of the sign. I just followed the route. As for accidents, I guess that's the need to have insurance for one to be doing thus stuff. The trip was incredible.

    The T'Railway

No shoulder, on the roads with the traffic. I got gas at needs and kept driving on the streets. Corner Brook is ATV/UTV friendly and there are signs all over to respect atv traffic.. I drove about 8-10 kms right thru town. There was even 1 spot where I was supposed to cross onto another street...

    Straps for the ferry

I've done both depending on the bike when getting into Cape Breton. But I don't take PAB if coming on the Rock. No point of trying to race off the Argentia landing. Just go with the flow until the TCH and eveyone kinda filters apart.

    The T'Railway

I have it. 49.36496° N, 57.71506° W From Goose Arm going west of Deer Lake you're on the main trail, and basically exit northwest 1/2 hr about 15kms into it towards the sink hole. From Corner Brook the maintained forest forest road route 440 from CB to Old Mans Pond will be the route. Zoom in...

    The T'Railway

It may have been from the sink hole getting back on the main trail. That said, the trail system is a little misleading to say it's the old railbed. The old rail bed from Deer Lake went south of the lake, thru Pasadena, and into Corner Brook. The route folks take now goes west of DL, then...

    The pain was too much

Thanks for that. I owned 3, 650 Stroms and put 100k on one of them. I brought one home to NL a few yrs ago. And a couple kms from Victoria going to Hearts Content in heavy winds, I turned around and went home. Had an FJR prior and that wouldn't have happened. I assume the T7 front end would feel...

    The pain was too much

@Wheler76 how did you find the T7 in heavy cross winds or around tractor trailers? I'm bikeless at the moment and have a translab trip planned in sand for next year. Super10 is my first choice and thought about a T7 but the tall thin front wheel in heavy winds has me concerned.

    Straps for the ferry

Something I noticed on my last 4 sails. 3 Argentia and 1 PAB. They don't put the motorcycles right at the front like they used too. I'm guessing some of the riders took too long to unstrap the bikes, get the chaps and vests on and held up the folks behind them. So now they're off to the sides...

    Straps for the ferry

Make a reservation. It's not the bike part but the amount of people. 60% capacity. I arrived in PAB yesterday and called to make a reservation. With 2 runs daily, I expected a same day maybe next day for 2 of us and the buggy. Aug 24th they said!!! No problem taking the buggy, just not people...

    The T'Railway

Some pics along the way. Seeing NL like this is unreal!!! Be sure to take the road out to Cox's Cove and have lunch. Nice dirt road and we had the Rmax drifting around some of the turns.

I'm in PAB right now getting tonight's ferry after crossing the trail. Almost 1200 kms worth. I'm in a side by side, and honestly wouldn't think a motorcycle could reasonably do it. Cool, and impressive that you made it to Deer Lake. How did you navigate this... Not to say it can't be done...

    OLD Perlican. NEW Trail.

Yes we should. We can meet somewhere, or you can drop by the house pretty much any time before the 25th. I'm on the Dartmouth side of the harbour.

Went for a ride today...never ending hi-jack thread

Nice work... can you get covers that go over that part of the engine and the shifter side. Was common for DRZs for the shifter to pierce the side if dropped on that side. A few companies made the covers. Especially if you're planning to continue this type riding.

    OLD Perlican. NEW Trail.

I thought I mentioned it here. Looks to be 5000 facebook trailway members just for CBN alone with hundreds of trail volunteers. A different group is running the BDV to Old Perican part and doing similar. From what I'm reading they want a complete loop. TCH to TCH. There's a lot of ATV...
