Wifi Thermometers ?

I have an older combination oil/wood furnace in my residence, the only source of heat. I'm going to be spending some time away from home this winter, thus it may be weeks on end between somebody being in the home. I'm worried that should something go wrong with the furnace over the winter, it may be days/weeks before the problem is found. Needless to say, it doesn't take long without heat during the winter months for a home to suffer damage.

I've been looking at the new wifi thermostats, but apparently they are not compatible with my furnace. My furnace has a two wire system for the thermostat, my current digital thermostat is powered by batteries. The new wifi thermostats must be powered from the furnace, thus a third wire is required for power.

Does a wifi thermometer exist? I'm looking for something that I can log into daily to see the temperature inside my home. Something with an iphone app would be preferred, with alert messaging for minimum and maximum temps.

Is anyone aware of anything?
