My very first bike was a 1981 Honda GL1100 Interstate. My parents said they didn't want me to have a bike while I was living with them so I moved out and bought the first bike I saw for sale in the middle of February in Port Aux Basques and rode it back to Stephenville in a snow storm. I stripped all the fairing and bags off and turned it into a naked wing. I bought the parts at Toads Cycle in NS. That was many years ago. This isn't the bike but it basically looked exactly like this but blue.

One of my favorite bikes I've eve owned a 1985 Yamaha Maxim 700. I loved that bike. Only thing I didn't like was the fuel range was very low. Used to get 150km max out a tank.

Very rare 1985 Suzuki Katana 750 with the pop up headlight. It was a real head turner for sure. It was my first chain drive. Almost took my fingers off a few times cleaning the chain I didn't have a clue what I was doing
    [IMG]

1986 Honda VFR 750. Awesome bike and the VFour engine was great and sounded like a small hemi. I gave it the good old flat black pain job. Everybody used to ask me what it was it was a head turner too. Valves were super easy too (screw and locknut)

2001 Suzuki GSXR600 my first real sport bike. Compared to the older bikes I was riding this thing practically took the corners by itself.

2003 Kawasaki Z1000 when I bought this bike I was initially gonna by the FZ1 which I really loved but I got a leftover model Z and I wanted fuel injection.
Bought a set of BlueFlame cans for it. This bike was loud. Of all the bikes I've every owned probably the loudest and meanest sounding. Real hooligan bike.

2005 Suzuki SV650S was looking for the naked bike with the tube bars but they didn't have any left in Canada. I got this one brand new for $5900 out the door taxes in! I put an exhaust on from Dale Walker in California. He is actually still using a picture of my bike on his site to advertise his satin black exhaust. He did ask me first though lol
    [IMG]

2005 Kawasaki ZX6R (636) by far this is the best bike I've ever owned hands down. At the time it had just a bit more grunt than the 600's and once you hit 8,000rpm the thing pulled like a freight train all the way to 16,000rpm. Most comfortable sport bike I've ridden too.

2008 Triumph Daytona 675 bike had good midrange but fell on it's face top end. Probably most uncomfortable bike I have every ridden.

Had a brain fart and figured I was gonna kill myself on sport bikes so thought it was a good idea to get a cruiser. 2003 Kawasaki Meanstreak 1500. Had the bike long enough to add a shitload of mods to it and rode it for a month or so. That was all I could handle. Every corner I was scraping pegs or pipes it was ridiculous. Worst bike I've ever owned. Not saying I'd never get another one just that it wasn't for me at the time.

2005 heavily modded Kawasaki ZX10R. I had this tuned on the dyno and it put out 172hp at the wheel! This bike didn't have any of the modern electronics like traction control or wheelie control. I could do an indicated 170km/h in first gear and lift the front tire on the racetrack at 260. Most insane bike I've ever ridden. Great for touring too though I've ridden all over eastern Canada and the states with it.

Then came the talks of moving to NL and getting away from the rat race. Figured I'd give the dual sport thing a go and picked up a 2005 Kawasaki KLR650. Not much to say about this lol
    [IMG]

Tried to get my wife into dual sport riding too so we picked up a pair of 2007 Kawasaki KLX250S's Loved them. Sadly couldn't find anyone to ride with so got rid of one in Ontario and just got rid of the other one last fall here in NL
    [IMG]

Then I moved on to another KLR and modded the shit out of it. It was great for here in NL. I do miss it from time to time.

Got a smoking deal on a 2003 Suzuki DL1000 that I couldn't pass up. So this has been my main ride this season. Most comfortable bike I've ever owned.

And just this past week I ended up landing another DL1000 this time a 2008 in the same color.

Also picked up this bike earlier this year but didn't have it long. It was a bit too crazy for me. 2005 YZ250F. I can't imagine a big 2 stroke.

Wifes bikes 1985 Honda 250 Rebel. Great starter bike.

2001 Buell Blast 500 great little bike, hydraulic valves, automatic choke, belt drive, virtually no maintenance. And with a Vance & Hines pipe this thing thumped pretty good.

2008 Suzuki GS500F. Wife loved this bike but I hated it.

2001 Honda CBR600F4i my wifes favorite bike. She put 60,000km on this bike in two years. Great bike for touring on too and it's been all over eastern Canada and the states.

2003 Honda VFR800 Vtech. Not a bad bike for touring and had some oomph. Didn't keep it long though.

So figured she'd pick up the 2002 BMW F650GS for NL. Great choice. Awesome bike for our province.

And at first we used to take our street bikes to the track but then figured we'd get dedicated track bikes. 2001 Yamaha R6 for my wife and a 2002 Kawasaki ZX6R for me. Awesome bikes on the race track.
