I just signed up to the board to get local intel. A friend and I are going to ride the Maritimes this September (from Southerrn California) and looking at the maps, it seems there really is only one way to get from the island's west coast to St Johns.
Am I missing a great alternative? Please let me know!
We are planning on coming up from Sydney on NS probably to Port Aux Basques, then crossing to StJohns, then back west again to Gros Mornes and L'Anse Aux Meadows before ferrying to the mainland.
What must-sees are there in between?
