Amen brother. I got out for a few hours too...love this weather.
Rode from Vernon down to Keremeos on 97 and 3A then carried on to do a little loop back to Kelowna via the 5 and the Coquihalla (Speed limit 120kph on the Coq).
Here's a thumbnail of the route in blue:
Went to look at this 2001 XR400:
Few pics along the way:
Can't get the two big ones on as thumbnails...
Perfect weather, temps mid teens to mid twenties C. About 500kms, but took seven hrs due to traffic, coffee, pics, chatting etc. Definitely uplifting as noted above.

Very nice to see the smoke is gone. Sheila is just back from Vernon after 3 weeks visiting her mom and sister.
That's excuse enough (to ride out here) if you need one. LOL
Met my very occasional North Woods neighbor Mike for lunch in Stevens Point Wisconsin, half way between his home in Milwaukee, and Park Falls. It was cool and drizzling, but a nice 480km round trip ride. Today was also the one year Anniversary of the R1200GS, and I celebrated by turning 15,500 miles on the odometer.
Have I mentioned that I love this motorcycle?
Was out testing cold weather gear in Gros Morne yesterday as well as the solar panel mounts. Nice ride... colours nice too.
I was out for a spin yesterday afternoon and while the temps were fallish the colors on the Avalon don't have the same brilliance as central/west.
On a pneumonia run. Outside F'ton, NB yesterday. This potato is older than the hills.
Ahh, the Big Potato. Almost an historical landmark in Fredericton!
Bit chilly here today but might dig out the heated gear and go for a ride anyway...
Great to spend a few kms with you today. Loving the fall colours on the backroads of New Brunswick and Maine today. Pic of rest stop somewhere in Maine today.
Random late breakfast or early lunch. Somewhere New York state.
Go Jim! I like the look of that sunshine.
So true about picking up the spirit ...I had the TW out on the logging roads out here in Trinity/ Port Rexton area today for a couple hours..only saw one other human in about 75kms of trails and roads . This isn't news to any of you but..what a great time of year to ride- the temp doesn't make the jacket hot and the colours...you know what I'm saying.
still lightly shopping for a TW
Had to scrape the frost off the seat this morning at Loft Mountain Campground, Skyline Drive. Warmer off the mountains lol.
Awesome! The leaves still look fairly green there still.
Took a ride to the Delta Diner. The temperature was actually around normal for a change.
There were half a dozen other bikes there, which made the wait to sit down go much quicker.
Unfortunately, the DOT was spreading the dreaded cheese brine on the bridge decks by the time I was heading back towards home. Luckily I was able to veer onto the shoulder to avoid that caustic mess for now. It won’t be long before the whole roadway gets a bath. Measurable snow is predicted for tonight.
I agree with townieglenn that fall is the best time for riding.
400 km for the day...
It is pretty green here. Warmer today too. One more thing off the bike bucket list.
