We've skied worse for sure...
We sure have, now it’s making me think of you and going up there to trim out a few areas to increase the turns.
We had a light dusting of snow last night along with a heavy dusting of new salt applied - apparently they must have a surplus to use up.
-15 this morning without the windchill. I'm sure snow will start melting at any moment now.
Even though I can't wait for it to warm up and for the snow to disappear, it has afforded me a bit of extra time to get the AT ready. Procrastinated too much over the winter so this extra bit of time is much needed, will need at least two weekends to get it back together. MB5 is always ready to go though in case the weather decides to cooperate.
Hey, just figured out that I could do strikethrough text even though is doesn't appear as an option in the menu!
St. John's received 17cm overnight, and they are predicting another 5cm today. Happy Spring!
Little bit of snow night before last. About half melted yesterday and the rest of the new stuff should be gone from streets today. +7 to 9 °C forecast for the next few days along with some sun. Unfortunately, there is no rain in the forecast to deal with the salt. If the streets are dry, I might go out anyway and plan to hose things off well upon my return. Still at work so won't have a chance until Saturday.
My first ride of the year is towards Windsor Lake, I don't think they use salt around the lake. Plus a great place to shake off the cobwebs and get use the bikes again.
Out for a walk this morning and even though there's still tons of snow and roads are covered with salt and black ice, it was the first time I heard the birds chirping this year, really nice to hear. Hopefully its a sign that spring will eventually show up this year
The Mrs and I was out for a walk this afternoon on the T’Railway through CBS. A couple of days of rain and fog and this snow will likely go quicker than we think. There will be remnants around for awhile, but I’m keeping optimistic.
I’m hoping to be taking advantage of dry roads and cheap gas starting in 3 weeks
+ 10 °C here today and sunny. Got out on the bike for the first time this year. 120 km or so. The roads are still salty but mostly dry. I will get it hosed off after another ride tomorrow. Colder and some snow on Monday.
I was going to go for a Spring walk this morning. But then I remembered, I live in NL.
So instead, I drink my coffee while watching the freezing rain.
Snowing very nicely outside, a few cm's down already
Plus 5 here today. Got a few projects to clue up and then get the GS out and ready
now waiting for the temps t cooperate for the maple sap to start running-we put in 9 the other day
If we don’t get some rain and mild temps soon....this snow will be here until June!
In my backyard, there just enough snow melted to reveal my fence...and it’s destroyed!
We've only had one day so far of sap running for the maple syrup, been too cold.
We got a bunch of rain and wind the last couple of days so most of the snow is gone and salt mostly rinsed away. Weather is still cool and damp. No double digit temperatures are forecast for at least a week and very little sun. Might still get a short ride, only stopping for pay-at-the-pump.
