Whilst visiting U-534 a few weeks ago I noticed this document. It was one of the items found on board when she was recovered off the coast of Denmark in 1993. U-534 had been lying on the sea bed since she was sunk by allied bombers during the last days of the war. The symbol of the Nazi Party can be clearly seen in the stamp.
