What is the name of the place in Quebec where folks purchase tires?
GBourque in Dieppe, NB maybe?
FortNine is in Montreal, do you mean that one? http://fortnine.ca
oh no one wouldn't want to get new tires before a trip now...
I find one gets really good deals when they show up at a dealership with the cords or belts poking through. HaHa.
Pete's Superbike in Montreal has some of the best on line deals anywhere in Canada. www.petes-superbike.com
I get almost as good pricing at Atlantic Motoplex since I can shop direct and not pay shipping. Similar to GBourque in Moncton area. Call or email for a quote - The on line prices showing at Motoplex are higher than actual. I think MSRP is posted and they will do much better. Don't know about shipping to NL and how they compare to Pete's.
Good deal til they add the TAX!!
Just came from toy box. Keith is ordering tires for me. I happened to mention I am also a cheap bastard, like Murph! He laughed and said, and quote, "I highly doubt that"!!!
So a matching set of Shinkos are gonna be on my baby in time for soiree!
Good on you for buying local
I ordered a set of Motoz tractionator adventures from the toybox a little while ago I can't wait to try them out. Knobby goodness
Wicked deals on tires at Royal Distributing. Guelph, Ont. Too bad these are in store only prices. Wish there was someone in the are to package and ship them to me!!
Some odd sizes and some interesting combinations (F & R) might be needed but the pricing is great. I might want to check the DOT date codes... (They didn't even list a rear to fit my FJR)
Just bought a set of the new Dunlop Roadsmart III - Price for the pair was pretty fair from Atlantic Motoplex ($321 incl tax. & environmental fee) but Dunlop has a $60 rebate going if you buy a front and a rear (until end of August). Pretty good for a tire I wanted to try anyway.
Bead breaker on sale at Royal distributing for $50. Need $90 for free shipping. Anyone else want one? I will make a joint order.
Do they sell Maxum4 synthetic 10w40 oil, in a 4litre jug? Price must be less than $73. If so I could help you with shipping.
They have Maxum extra 4T, 100 % synthetic, $69.99. page 365 of summer catalogue.
Rob if this is what you need to get the free shipping let me know. I can email you the money.
Can't wait till Sept 10 or so to get my tire from Royal distributing so I visited local shops. Found a Michelin PR3 at Suzuki. Having it installed today. Guy there suggests under inflation or crappy
cheap Shinkos tire caused the uneven wear as it can't be misalignment b/c it is shafts driven. Is he right? See photo attached.
Holy Christ you were riding around on those?
I still suspect something misaligned. Strange to wear through on one side only. PM sent.
Wow! This is your third tire wore on the left side isn't it?
I would perform the string wheel alignment technique to check. You should be able to find it on YouTube.
Any play in your rear suspension bushings?
Do yo do a lot of counter clockwise donuts?
