Tire change zip tie method actually works

Well over the years I've changed many tires and rarely have any problems other than pinching the odd tube (I hate tubes). I've heard of people using zip ties to keep the beads close together when installing a tire and it's supposed to make it easier. I've watched a couple videos and it didn't look that easy but figured I had time to kill so I'd give it a try on my front. I didn't want to use any expensive zip ties so I doubled up the cheap ones that I have an abundance of. So after spooning off my old tire I zipped the ties around the tire to hold both beads tight together. Then I sprayed a bit windex on the rim and beads like I always. I didn't think there was any way it would work. Then I gave the tire a good slam on the rim at an angle and most of the went on. Then I just walked around the rest and both beads went on the same time and didn't have to use any tire levers and it didn't take much force at all. It did take longer to change the tire than normal but it was really easy. The longest part was putting the zip ties on and them cutting them off. I probably wont use this method again but just wanted to let people know that it does work.
