switching from synthetic to regular

I believe the previous owner ran synthetic oil in my Varadero, and I have been doing the same (although not required by the owners manual). But at almost $100 per oil/filter change, I'm thinking about switching back to regular oil. Thoughts on switching from synthetic back to dino oil?
