How does it work? I have purchased from the mainland (private sale) and show up with a bill of sale to MVR and pay my 15% on a used machine. I don't agree with it but if I want a plate that is the deal I signed into.
What about all you that have purchased from a dealer? If I buy a bike in a box and have it shipped are they are obliged to collect the tax? Obviously the crowd here want theirs before a plate is issued but paying provincial sales tax is not done twice so who gets it?
