We often refer to it as Juneuary....

My very first bike I specifically remember that it practically rained for the entire month of June (or so it seemed, lol).

I see your dilemma there Paul. Typically June is a little early to be biking/camping in NL. Mid to late July would usually be more favourable.

Are you planning to ride on 2 wheels or 3 this summer?

If I come early It’ll be sidecar (more room for snowshoesand foul weather gear) later, probably on 650BMW.

    Hey all,
I'm up for a grand adventure once again this summer! Maine was FANTASTIC!!!! Unfortunately I had to head home a little early, but am up for another ride down there again this year! Love the back roads, warm weather and vistas! Not sure where we will all end up this summer, however, I've booked off 2 weeks from the missus to hit the road. Lets figure out where and when.
    Cheers

Just got off the phone with versy Rob and am trying to finalize plans for the summer.

So far, we are planning on staying around for the Canada Day Soiree where ever it is. Not sure if it's going to happen then, or where it might be? Open to anywhere here on the Rock!

Once the weekend is over, we plan to head out to Maine and Vermont again. I'm not sure how Pizzaman's schedule is looking. Perhaps if he made it out here earlier, we could head back his way once again after the long weekend. I have the first two weeks booked off and plan to put some miles on the bike early in the summer!

The Skibum Soirée will be the last weekend in August, don’t know if people are planning something else for Canada Day.

I would love to get away again during the first two weeks of July but still can’t commit at this point. At a minimum Greg, you and Rob (and whoever else accompanies you) are free to stop by my place again on the way to the ferry.

I spoke with Greg J this past weekend. He is up for a trip with Pizzaman in Maine and beyond again this year. Tentative plan is to have a soriee type event on July 1 w/e again this year then off to Maine for a week or 10 days. I am off to put on my annual leave request now. It's gettin to be that time of year!!!!

Any suggestions on a park for the July 1st weekend? I'm guessing online booking will open soon, and that weekend books up almost immediately.

How about we camp near St. John's area for a change? Gushue's pond or Butterpot? I know others have suggested Frenchman's cove, on Burin Penn. Just preliminary suggestions, I really don't care where we spend the weekend.

Why not just camp in Pippy Park?

too expensive in Pippy Park! Woods in Butter pot is same as woods in Gros Morne, without the birch. I figured someone would chime in with that comment though.
