Anyone else feeling they may have to wear a snowmobile suit and bring a snow shovel to this event?

At least it may be easy to keep beer cold.

Less than 3 weeks now! Going through the camping gear today. Looks like I get to try out the new FJ bags on the trip. I was going to take the WRX but it may be up for sale before then.

    Getting ready as well!

Just wondering how many of us are continuing on to the mainland and down to Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont etc with Pizzaman?

Last year while returning, I ran into issues with the ferry. When I called to book from Casno Causeway last year I was told that there was a three day wait to get on the ferry!!!!! North Sydney is a grand place, however, not three days worth of fun :-(

It would be a wise idea for us to book early this year.
So boys, who is into the trip this year?

*And, by the way, how does one get rid of the "New Member" status below my bike on this form? Been here a while, and done a good few miles....

I spoke with Pizzaman last week. He is coming to Newfoundland on June 22, touring northern peninsula I think for some time before coming to Frenchman's cove. So far I think it will be myself, Gregg J, and Pizzaman heading to Maine. No one can ever be sure about Murph?????? nuff said.
I am hoping Murph will come babysit me through my first time use of my new tire changing gear this week. I will have brand new socks, front and back before I start this trip. Let's see how that works out for me!!
I have not taken my camping gear out yet, but plan to do that soon. I am so looking forward to this trip. I have had great fun and memories from past adventures. I could skip the ticks in New Hampshire though!! and Murph waking me up at 5am in New Brunswick, smashing his helmet on my tent, grumbling,,,, " I'm gone, I might see you in North Sydney in a few days, or I might not".

Myself and a buddy are heading through Maine enroute through Mt Washington/Lake Placid then Prince Edward county. Leaving between June 24-26th. May see pizzaman on the way. heading back probably north of the St Lawerance to Baie COmeau/Gaspe Penn/ Cabot trail around July 4th-7th

    Have fun guys!

I am hating the fact that I will not be able to make the Soirée this year, or the off Island trek south of the border. I’m scheduled to start a new rotational job on June 26 and just couldn’t get things to align. I was hoping to attend Frenchman’s Cove at the least, but even that doesn’t appear to be working out.

Have fun, be safe, and enjoy the open road!

Don’t forget Paul is going to be on the island on the 22nd. Maybe you can get in a ride or two with him before you start on the 26th.

The title under your name is based on the number of 'Trophy Points' you have accumulated. You get these points for different things, list is here: http://ridetherock.com/index.php?help/trophies

Once you get to 5 points you'll move to 'Member', 'Active Member' at 25 and 'Well-Known Member' at 45.

Yeah, I noticed that but I will be heading to Town on the 22nd, flying to the Mainland on the 25th. Unfortunately it don’t appear that our paths will cross this year.

I’m going to be leaving the Tenere is Town for most of the summer so hoping for some Avalon riding in July and August!

Sorry to hear you can’t make it. Contact me when you are back in town in July / August if you want a riding buddy.
