So we've been talking about a camping trip already. A few things are pretty obvious but I'll mention them anyway:
A central location so everyone can make it from across the island. The location needs to be accessible by any kind of bike.
It needs to be in a place with reasonable facilities to offer a few creature comforts. Provincial or National parks are obvious choices.
Enough time so that people can get there, do a few side rides, and have a campfire or two. This probably means a long weekend.
I'll leave the timing for later discussion. Here are a few options for locations:
Dildo Run Provincial
Notre Dame Provincial
Lockston path provincial
Terra Nova National
Lockston and Terra Nova are actually eastern parks but I put them in because there simply isn't much in central.
There are probably quite a few private options which I'm not familiar with so throw the names into the ring if you have recommendations. I can only recommend one of these parks but I love it.
Dildo Run is an awesome park on Twilingate island, almost every campsite is ocean front, the scenery in the area is amazing, a side trip to Fogo island is a possibility, and because it's on a small island on the ocean the bugs are minimal. did I mention the bugs are minimal?
