hitting the road soon with my touratech panniers, 30/35. For those with similar, do you notice them much on the highway? In wind? Much noticeable fuel economy difference?

I have smaller givi style on my varadero and to be honest I barely notice any difference in highway, wind or fuel.

I have run the 31 / 37 combination on my GS’ for years now.
Given that yours are significantly wider overall than mine, you do have to be aware of the added width in tight places, like backing into parking spaces, and they definitely do negatively affect fuel economy, especially at the elevated highway speeds in the Western U.S. With that said, I do not notice any bid difference in handling if the load is evenly distributed between panniers.

As far as durability goes, they are TLH proven, and I have now accumulated well over 20,000 miles with them affixed, with nary a problem.

Running double 45s on the GSA affected mileage slightly but she is a wide load up front anyway. I tried them on the Tiger but they looked entirely out of place and made the bike too wide. I never did any amount of mileage to tell difference in fuel consumption on it. I never noticed stability but they are both big bikes with a big load aboard.

Don’t notice my Ortlieb soft bags on my 640 or the hard bags on my R65
