So, after installing my Altrider crashbars on the ST the other week, I notice the powder coating split/cracking around one of the bolt holes, under the bolt/washer. Granted, 75Nm is applied to that bolt, but it kinda pisses me off that the coating is coming off before even turning a wheel. I know that this probably sounds very anally retentive of me, but I always hear about powder coating this, powder coating that...strongest coating available, should never be compromised even under torque blah blah. I have never seen evidence of this personally.
Anyone ever experienced powder coat that actually does what it claims?
