I just received a pair of Ortleib soft luggage in the mail and once I figure out the straps/buckles i think they will be a good alternative/addition to my ever growing collection of options to transport my stuff in a dry manner. They look like great liners for the hard boxes or alone as strap on to the TT racks.
My public thanks to Matthew, a Brit on a Bonneville. Christmas in September.

Sorta like a woman with a shoe collection.

More baggage than a divorce support group meeting.

You sure carry a lot of big buck luggage around considering what a cheap bastard you are.

You are not the first person to consider me an oxymoron.
Some people leave out the oxy.

But yes, my gear has increased in quantity and quality the last few years but in my defense, most is second owner stuff. I just purchased an Aerostitch Darien that was previously loved by a large man who lost 110lbs. Even with shipping and exchange it came in well under 50% of new.

My seasonal neighbor and I took a ride to the Aerostitch headquarters in Duluth not too long ago, where he purchased a returned Darien at a big discount.
It is a nice suit for sure, but I was disappointed to see that the hip padding was nothing but foam. I would replace that with some real armor given my history with deer!
The suit was a lovely brown color, so his new moniker is "Big Brown Bear", or "Grizzly" for short. It fits him to a "T" (both moniker and suit), but I am not sure he likes the moniker.

This would seem reasonable for beer.

What do you want to know about Ortlieb? I was the rep in Ontario and Atlantic for the Canadian distributor. For some time Touratech has been their seller for motorcycle products. I have been running the roll top throw over panniersand medium rack pack roll top duffel for 10 years with no issues except the shredded straps from the odd time it's gone into my chain. They have never leaked a drop. I also have the super cool roll top toilet paper carrier and the folding bowl is a great piece of kit for carrying water, washing dishes etc. I tried to post photos of them but this damned site would not cooperate.

Got the tank bag on my GS and it stashed an extra case of Heady-Topper from this years Cro-Mag. Simply wonderful.
