With everything in lock-down, isolation, socially distanced and generally an unknown, I am putting Plan A to 2022, Plan B to 2021 and Plan N (for Newfoundland) into play for hopefully August and early September. I'm thinking of doing a video series on NL campgrounds and roads I have not traveled.
One of those is the Bay d'Espoir highway and all the towns/villages at the end of it.
Has anyone tented at either the Trout Hole Falls Municipal Park or the Jipujiijkuei Kuespem Provincial Park?
I don't mind hauling the tent trailer into a gravel pit but would prefer not to.
They come up on Google Maps as campgrounds near St. Albans.

Note, I've added Pinware River in Labrador to the Plan N list as per the Coronavirus thread. Fogo Island also added as I have only been there in the dead of winter.

The whole Connaigre Peninsula is the one region of Newfoundland I haven't done on my bike. (Still lots of out-and-back rides to do but no major areas.) The Connaigre had been on my "list" for the last few trips I have made to Newfoundland but weather has conspired against me when I was in the area.

I haven't been to Fogo either and would like to see it - hasn't been a high priority because of time to get there and back when trip time is limited. Hope to have more time the next visit.
I will definitely want to do some exploring of paved surfaces in Labrador and am toying with the notion of some dual sport tires on the FJR and doing the entire Trans Lab.

Trying to decide whether to haul my trailer on the next trip. Not a tent trailer but makes camping a lot easier...

Anyway, this is all pretty uncertain for this year with current travel restrictions. Who knows what the next couple of months will bring?

I have camped at JKPP a couple of times but not recently. The Connaigre is spectacular place to ride and if I was hauling the trailer I would set it up there as a base to ride every road and return to it in the evening. Very much like Gros Morne without the traffic.

I want to do the Connaigre too, if I can get my lighthouse tour together I'll get there.

Fogo is a beauty spot for sure. Been there a few times on bike.

Passed by the hotel and seen Bryan Adams and partner out for a stroll. Fortech

Jim, going home from the Conne would be a hop skip and a jump on the coastal boat through Francois. It would be the spot to lift the drone because you would have to overnight it there anyway on the way to Burgeo.

Had a few caribou come out of the alders on the way down there once. Horny does IIRC.
I recall coming up from Hr Breton one night in a fog so thick you could not see the road and I was down to first gear in spots. Weaving the road alternately finding the yellow line and the gravel shoulder as my guides when the locals would pass by at full speed scaring the shit out of me. Got up to the Conne and it was gone. A beautiful moonlit night ride from there to St Albans.

I didn't know there were caribou down the Connaigre?
