CB500F is gone. My wife didn’t want to ride it and my son has his very own car now. It would get very little use this summer. Traded it for this. 2016 with 135km on the clock.

That will be fun - but I think the seat would bring a tear to my eye before very long.

Dual sport seats are definitely a PITA, literally. Something better will eventually replace it but for now a new skidplate if the first farkle to order.

Alas, health issues have made me decide to stop riding bikes that are too tall for me. Which is most of the bikes That I like. The FJ-09 is going to go. Sad days. I’ll still ride, just not adventure style bikes. Something where I can flat foot it when stopped.

This getting old ain't for wimps.
After my first lower back injury this winter I am considering it with any new purchase. Height is fortunately not my issue but being in a crump for a long day is no longer an option. Lowering pegs and bar risers are part of any plan now.

I’ve suffered extreme bad backs since my 20’s. However I have discovered a great chiropractor, who is a true miracle worker. I can hook you up if you are interested.

I’m finding the R65 surprisingly comfortable, I’m not sure it’s supposed to be. Now I think I need to demo an S1000:p

Sorry to hear about your back injury as well, Murph.
Like Wayne, I have been dealing with major back problems on and off since the late 70’s.
That is why I have become so fastidious about farkling every new bike purchase I make.
You just need to upgrade to the newer GSA’s.
Lighter than your 1150, but with more spread out ergonomics. ;)

Yep, a bad back is a life changer for sure. Had one off and on for years so I know what it’s like.
I’ve found exercise helps my back for riding but ymmv.

Replacement back or bike? Just kidding. I already have a deal in the works for a bike that I can nearly flat foot.
