Folks new to the forum but not two wheelers as got my bike license in 1982 and have owned a road bike since then, this in addition to dirt bikes etc.
Reason for signing up is that I'm looking for some recommendations re good rides around a round the Avalon. My summer weekend routine is to get up early and get a 1-2h ride in before there rest of the family gets organized. Often do the marine drive/thru town/cape spear/petty harbour/ St Phillips (as many others I assume). Would be good with some variation to the theme; ideally twisty stretches of road with no pot holes, no joggers/bike cycles & no houses. Was going to include no RCMP detachment close by with associated speed checks but as I'm riding an old BM airhead I'm probably unable to break the speed limit unless in a school zone.
Nevertheless with a clear line of sight its at times nice to open up a bit an get that perfect line thru a corner.
