My wife and I decided to take a little trip to explore the Baie Verte Peninsula a bit over the weekend. Spent three days and did 1487km on the bikes. I've never been there before and can't wait to go back to do some more exploring. I'm guessing about 200km of that was gravel and we probably hiked about 15km. The old Vee held up fine and the little BMW was no slouch either. I have to say the worst section of road was probably heading down the last hill into Round Harbour. I tried to stop the Vee to get a picture and there was no way it was gonna stop, very loose gravel and very steep I ended up having to go down then make a run for it to get back up. Apparently there's only 5 people that live there now. Even the paved roads are in pretty rough shape it was great to be on dual purpose bikes to soak up the bumps and pot holes. I wouldn't wanna drive it in a car.
