Gonna have a nice week of weather. I'm gonna take a day and drive Irish loop. Tues or Wed. Leave CBS 9:30. Meet at McD.
    Anyone interested?

I'm interested - just one problem...
Hope to be able to get over there before the end of the summer. It is starting to look a bit more positive.
    Have a great ride!

Always a good idea to check the forecast of the intended route. And re-check again the morning of the ride...cuz...Newfoundland.

Quite a difference between St. John's and St. Mary's forecasts. And neither may bear any relationship with reality; especially four days ahead of time.
Irish loop in rain, drizzle and fog - wouldn't be the first time for me! I did it a few years ago - left St. John's area in sunshine and that's the last I saw of the sun until I got back. Kept hoping it would clear...

True, the forecast is a ways away still. And usually changes the day of, lol. But just making a point that it’s a good idea to check the forecast for where you are planning to ride.

Good ride around Irish loop today.. 3 bikes. As expected 13 and foggy in trepassey. No restaurants open. Smith's snack sub at a gas station. Yucky! Of course...I ran out of back rubber AGAIN. Flat tire at Holyrood beach. Felt kinda wobbly but I paid not attention. Good thing a fellow rider pointed it out before I hoped back on. Funny enough...I bought a new tire at Atlantic rec yesterday. Gonna put it on now. 20200623_105426.jpg 20200623_105341.jpg 20200623_105341.jpg

Is it the tire that was plugged in Springdale?

Damn you all, I had to work today. Buuut the missus suggested maybe next week I should go for a 3 day ride as July sends me away for a 5 week hitch.

Now thinking of trying to put together a 3 day ride, I want to hit roads I've never been on.

Which bike are you taking? Lots of three day rides on The Rock for sure. When I get home we'll have to work our way thru a forty and a keg to give your ass a break.:D

The R65 decided to die on my little run last week and I still need a nut for the swingarm bolt for the 640 so 1100 it is. I'm thinking north coast.

Come on over and plan to stay a few nights.

Yup, and that 1100 is one sweet ride! Apparently motor for the 525 is done so I can start getting that back together too.
