Chest Protection for dirt riders

For those of you riding dirt bikes, what gear would you recommend for chest protection? I've been looking at generic type MX chest protectors (Thor etc.), as well as the Tek vest style setups. There's a lot to choose from.

My wife purchased me riding pants, jersey and boots for xmas and I need to buy something before the snow melts.
