    Looking for a new bike

Scratched the Harley hitch and now that the Sportster is gone I’m looking for a dirt bike/dual sport. Something like an XR250/400, KTM 250/300/450, Wr450, KLX300 etc. Budget is $3500 Hoping to entice someone here who’s on the fence about selling their ride.

Long Shot - WTB Royal Enfield

Appreciate that Murph I still have the belly pan from the K75 if you’re interested in it. I’d rather give it back to you if it has any value to you.

Long Shot - WTB Royal Enfield

You can definitely buy them new, I looked at one at Bro's Cycle in NS earlier this year while I was there but they gave up selling new Enfields and Triumphs. There's a few dealers in Ontario as well. If I can find one locally great, but if not I'll get one shipped down from the mainland...

Long Shot - WTB Royal Enfield

I know this is a long shot, but someone on this board might know of one that someone isn't using and may consider selling. I rode one on a trip to India and fell in love with it so the hunt is on. If I don't find one locally I'll have to start expanding my search next season.

Discussion point: Dual sport or conversion?

If you want to carry anything on your bike, gear or passengers, it may be better to consider a factory dual sport, these typically have much stronger subframes. I had a plated XR650R for a couple of seasons - I found it a bit of a pig in the woods, but in the open it was in its element. They...

    Iron Butt this weekend anyone?

I drove the road down to Hermitage and there were a number of heavily pot-holed sections. It does look like they've done some work and there were survey crews around on my drive back. We managed it in my wife's VW Beetle. If you have time, the run out to Wreck Cove was nice, just passed...

Missed you by a couple of days Murph. The wife and I spent Saturday night in Gaultois at the inn. Well worth a stop in for lunch if you're in the area again.

    Colinet to Placentia

Indeed, I came across this road after a day trip down to Cataracts. Much of the road was pretty good, but you're right, where the culverts are being installed there are some pretty good size rocks. I had to slow way down in my pickup, let alone a motorcycle.

Fathers Day Ride: The Irish Loop.

On the ride back from Upper Island Cove, I saw the tiger when I was stopped at the beach in Holyrood. No sign of the Green girlie, but I left Holyrood and went across Witless Bay to home. First longer ride on the K Bike, very smooth but I think a GS is in my future.

It's a great looking bike, definitely different than the German metal you're used to. I couldn't believe how small it felt compared to the GS.
