Camping + Laundry

Curious as to how you guys handle laundry on longer camping trips? I'm relatively new to camping with only three short trips under my belt (two single night and one two night stay) and so haven't really had to deal with the laundry situation before. I liked the few outings I've been on so I'd like to expand these a bit so I can take in some longer rides.

I know some people just bring extra old clothes and just throw them out when dirty but space is at a premium with my setup so don't really want to be carrying extra gear if at all possible. Also, with things like towels, facecloths and good clothes I don't want to be tossing it (don't think the better half would appreciate that ;)).

With the two night stay at Lockston Path I was camping in the same place for both nights so I could hang my towel and facecloth out on a clothesline during the day so it would be dry for the next morning but if you are moving to a new spot each day, or its raining, I would think that a damp towel would get pretty rank in short order.

Any tips?
