Planning to do a bit of riding around the Harbour Breton area this summer, and hoping to be able to get the ferry from Bay L'Argent to Pool's Cove. I know that the ferry doesn't take cars, but I'm sure I've heard that they can "sling" motorcycles on and off. Not sure how anxiety-inducing that...

We were in Burgeo in mid August. The road was brutal...lots of potholes patched up, but it sort of gave a false sense of security because right alongside the patches were more gaping holes waiting to swallow a tire. No trouble to avoid them on bike, but I would not want to drive a car (or RV!)...

The guy riding the bike is the brother-in-law of a co-worker. A car pulled out in front of him. He has a concussion and a broken wrist I think. His GS was pretty much brand new, and he is ROTTED.

Leaving after work tomorrow to head to St. Shott's for a family function, may see you on Sunday somewhere on the Loop on my way back to town. FYI...if you go around the Irish Loop it may be worth stopping at St. Vincent's beach and/or Cape Race, whales have been going mad lately! Also the road...

Good to hear that Steve is doing ok, he's a lucky man for sure. Other than that, it was a great day. Looking forward to more group rides this summer.

I'll probably be taking the Vstrom, she's better set up for lugging camping gear. Would love to get out that way on the TW though and explore some trails.
