Camping Gear - What works, what don't?

Check the Nemo Fillo. Not sure where I got it but probably MEC. Packs tiny and has a nice fabric. The inflatable membrane can be removed to wash the liner if you're a drooler like me. http://www.nemoequipment.com/product/?p=Fillo%20(Moss%20Green)

buy Metezler Tourance 21" tire in Newfoundland?

http://www.ruggededge.ca/ in Corner Brook (a little over 300km from St Barbe) is also a good choice for Tourance. They can get them pretty quick but probably not in stock. The by's have an expert tire changer/balancer there as well. Reasonable prices for this neck of the woods. FM

    Dual purpose tire choices

+1 on the Dunlop 606 for a small DS. I've also used a Pirelli MT21(?) in the front with a Dunlop rear. The Dunlop seems to deal with a lot of different types of off road well. On the pave its, well, legal hehe. I just got a set of Conti TKC 70s for my Tiger. New this year. They look like a...

Did I need a new rear sprocket?

whoa, that sprocket's seen better days! I'm not saying it's 'the rule' but it's not a bad idea to change out both sprockets and the chain when there's that much wear involved. You'll love the 'new bike feel 'even if it smells the same :-)

By's, Just 'cause you're paranoid doesn't mean they're not after you! I'm in Maine at the moment and wish I could roll the bike into the hotel room. Not sure how I'll deal with it once we hit a more populated state:D

tnx keith, Lesson learned, I'm keeping this one in a buddy's garage; the inconvenience of having to get her from his place outweighs the inconvenience of not having one at all.

    'Nudder New 1

Finally replaced the 250 I had stolen from me a year ago with this lil red pig. Took her to Woody Point via the North Arm Hills for her inaugural ride on Saturday. What a day in the woods, hot as hell but it would have taken plastic surgery to wipe the smile from my face. :D Here's a few pix...
